ACC Announces Outdoor Track & Field Performers of the Week

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (theACC.com) – Six Atlantic Coast Conference student-athletes were named ACC Outdoor Track & Field Performers of the Week for the sixth week of the 2025 outdoor track & field season. Florida State and Clemson earned two weekly honors each, while NC State and Notre Dame each had one honoree.

Florida State’s Micahi Danzy continues to take the world by storm with his dual-sport athleticism and has been named the ACC Men’s Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week. Danzy competed in the men's 400-meters at the LSU Invite as he almost edged out gold medalist, Steven Gardiner. The freshman standout from Tallahassee, Florida, took second place with a career best and the eighth-fastest time in Seminoles history at 45.41. He also contributed to the Seminoles second-place finish in the men's 4x100-meter relay with a time of 39.15.

Tyra Wilson was tabbed as the ACC Women’s Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week to complete the sweep for the Seminoles. Wilson led Florida State over the weekend, competing in the 400-meter hurdles and posting a sub-56 second time for the first time this season, with a personal best of 55.39 seconds. Her time is the second all-time in school history and she is the only member in the ACC to be ranked in the top five of the national rankings in the 400-meter hurdles.

One week after posting a personal best 8.05 meters (26-5) at the Virginia Challenge, NC State’s Tyson Adams once again dazzled, this time at the LSU Alumni Gold Invitational on his way to being named the ACC Men’s Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week. Adams logged a second-place finish in the long jump with a mark of 7.90 meters (25-11). Adams is currently ranked first in the ACC for long jump.

At the Penn Relays, Clemson’s Shantae Foreman secured first place in the women’s triple jump as she jumped 12.73 meters on her way to being named the ACC Women’s Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week. Foreman is currently ranked first in the ACC and second in the nation in the event.

Notre Dame’s Cameron Todd has been named the ACC Men’s Outdoor Track & Field Freshman of the Week after running an 8:43.44 at the Penn Relays and now has the second-best 3,000m steeplechase among ACC freshmen this season. He ranks seventh in Notre Dame program history and 19th in the NCAA East Region this season.

Clemson’s Aniyah Kitt earned ACC Women’s Outdoor Track & Field Freshman of the Week honors after leading the Tigers at the Penn Relays. Kitt helped Clemson win the Sprint Medley Relay as the Tigers ran 3:42.50 to bring home the Penn Relays cheese wheel for the second season in a row for the event. Kitt, who is a native of Enterprise, Alabama, ran the first leg of the event for Clemson.
